Continuing Community Commitment

Since 1958, members of the Aurora Hills Women's Club have lived up to our motto of

Continuing Community Commitment by actively supporting organizations and projects that help make our community the great place it is.

The purpose of the Club is two-fold:

  • to support charitable organizations that serve the Arlington community

  • to provide programs of general interest and education to members in a social setting

The Club offers a variety of programs on a number of topics, including:

  • health and wellness

  • community development

  • music and art

  • education

  • local history

Meetings and Special Events

The Club meets for lunch on the first Thursday of the months September through April (except January) at a neighborhood church in Arlington. In May we have our annual tea at the Arlington Historical Museum; our annual Awards Luncheon in June is held at a local venue. We host periodic evening meetings and special events, such as attending a local theatrical event.

We host events to raise funds for our sponsored charities, including our popular Holiday Wreath sale. Proceeds from our meetings and fundraisers benefit local charitable organizations that serve our community.

Our primary sponsored charity is the Hume School building, which houses the Arlington Historical Society Museum. In addition, every year we select an additional organization to support as our secondary charity for that year.

For 2016-2017, in addition to the Hume School, we are supporting Friends of Clarendon House, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of Arlington residents with severe mental illness.

Membership is open to all women interested in supporting the Club's objectives. Click here for more information on joining the Club.

The Aurora Hills Women's Club is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
